Attorney Paul Lange moderated a panel titled “Part 380 and Airports: What a Mess!” at the ABA Forum on Air and Space Law 2023 Washington Update Conference in Washington, D.C. on February 24, 2023. Panelists Dawud Crooms, Esq. (Atlantic Aviation, FBO perspective), Dayton Lehman Jr. (Capital Business Solutions, Part 380 Operators perspective), Roy Goldberg, Esq. (Stinson LLP, Airline perspective), and Joseph Manges, Esq. (FAA, Division Counsel for Office of Airports) provided a tremendously enthusiastic, well informed, and meaningful debate. The panel discussed operational and infrastructure friction as technology advances permit business models that didn’t exist when the regulatory construct was created decades ago.
